Instinctor Smart Chat is an AI chatbot for WordPress that answers your website visitors when you cannot, books them into your calendar and closes the deal while they are still on the page. Whoever does not book yet still reaches you, on your phone.

You tell it about your business in plain words: what you do, your prices, your hours, what to say and what never to say. If you would rather not write it from scratch, the dashboard asks you four questions instead. Every answer comes from that, so visitors get your business, in your words.

It closes the deal

When a visitor asks “Do you have time tomorrow afternoon?”, Smart Chat checks your real availability, offers the open times, and books the one they pick. The visitor gets the confirmation, and you get a customer, not a lead to chase. Nobody waits for a call back.

Nobody slips away

The moment a visitor leaves a phone number or asks for a person, the lead reaches your phone with what they actually said. Reply from your phone and the conversation carries on, even after the visitor has left your site. Your personal number is never shown to them.

It speaks their language

Smart Chat answers in the language your visitor writes in, and switches when they do.

Light on your site

The widget loads after your page, so it never holds up what your visitors came to see. It works on any theme and on phones.

This plugin connects your site to your Smart Chat account. There is one setting: your key. What the chat says, your hours, your calendar and where your leads go are all managed in your Instinctor dashboard, from your computer or your phone.

External services

This plugin loads the Smart Chat widget from Instinctor, which is the service that provides the chat. The widget cannot be served from your own site: it talks to Instinctor to answer questions, check your availability and deliver messages to you.

What is loaded: https://instinctor.com/embed/chat/v1.js, on every page of your site, once the key is set.

What is sent: the key identifying your account, and the address of the page the visitor is on. When a visitor uses the chat, what they type is sent to Instinctor so it can be answered and passed to you, along with any contact details they choose to give, such as a phone number.

Nothing is sent before a visitor’s browser loads the page, and nothing is sent at all while no key is set.

The settings screen can also create an account for you, and that is the only
other time this plugin contacts Instinctor. If you type your email address
there and ask for a key, the plugin sends that email address and your site
address to https://instinctor.com/api/instinctor/v1/solo/chat-start so the
account can be made and the key returned. It happens only when an
administrator asks for it, never on its own and never from a visitor’s
browser. If you already have a key and paste it instead, this call is never
made.
