On Pro AI plans, Yapdesk can act as an AI chatbot, WordPress AI assistant, website chatbot, AI support agent, GPT chatbot, or ChatGPT-powered customer support assistant. AI replies are Pro AI features and are managed through the hosted Yapdesk dashboard.
Pro AI is useful for automated support, AI customer service, common visitor questions, hybrid AI plus human support, and support workflows where the AI assistant helps first and a human agent can take over.
WooCommerce live chat and storefront support
Yapdesk can load on WooCommerce storefronts, product pages, checkout pages, and other WordPress pages where customers may need help. Use it as a WooCommerce live chat widget or customer support chat for product questions, shipping questions, quote requests, and general customer service. Pro AI can add AI chatbot support for approved business and website information.

This plugin connects to the Yapdesk hosted service at https://app.yapdesk.com when you connect your WordPress site to a Yapdesk account.
The Yapdesk service is used to provide the hosted dashboard, live inbox, notifications, tickets, billing, and optional Pro AI features. When connected, the plugin may send the following data to Yapdesk:
- Website domain and site name during account connection.
- Site public key and site secret key for secure site connection.
- Visitor chat messages, ticket messages, visitor email if entered, visitor token, page URL, and conversation status.
- Widget settings such as title, color, launcher label, availability mode, ticket notification email, branding text, and optional AI knowledge settings.
A Yapdesk account is required to use hosted live chat features. The free plan does not require a payment method. Pro plans are optional and are used only for extra features such as branding removal, additional agents, visitor typing preview, schedules, and AI.
